Nitte University Mangalore Admission Process For BE:
Admissions under the General category are based on merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Govt. Of Karnataka or COMEDK.
NMAMIT provides direct admission to NRI/ Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian origin & children of Indian workers in Gulf countries under the 15% supernumerary quota. Admission under this quota is on merit basis the students performance in the core subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science / Biology.
Candidates admitted under this category are required to produce proof of their NRI/ Foreign National / PIO status.
A list of documents to be produced at the time of admission include, 10th, 12th pass certificates, Transfer, Migration & Conduct Certificates, Eligibility Certificate issued by the Registrar ( VTU), physical fitness & blood group certificates, photographs. Apart from these, foreign nationals also need to produce No Objection Certificate from the Government of India, AIDS Free certificate from a competent medical authority & Residential Permit (RP) issued by the Foreigners Registration office ( FRRO).
