RNS Institute of Technology Admissions, Bangalore welcomes students from all over India and abroad for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs. The Government of Karnataka sets the reservation criteria and admission norms. Students get admission to the college through entrance exams like KCET or COMEDK. KCET exam is for candidates who are domicile of Karnataka for 7 years whereas COMEDK exam is for Karnataka and Non-Karnataka aspiring candidates for the engineering program. 45% seats are filled through KCET, 30% seats are filled based on COMEDK, all merit-based.

Eligibility criteria to get admission at RNS Institute of Technology under KCET are given below:

  • Candidate must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board, Government of Karnataka with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects, or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent
  • General category students must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 exam whereas SC/ST candidates must have secured a minimum of 40% marks
  • English subject should be one the languages opted by students in +2
  • Aspirants who are waiting for their +2 results are also eligible to apply
  • Candidates must have completed their studies either in Karnataka Government or recognized institution for a minimum period of 7 years from class one to twelve.

Eligibility criteria to get admission at RNS Institute of Technology Bangalore under COMEDK is given below:

  • Candidate must have passed the PUC or 10+2 exam or equivalent exam recognised by the State/Central Government with Mathematics, English, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects
  • General category students must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate whereas SC/ST candidates should have 40% of aggregate and they should have passed in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry individually
  • Diploma candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK exam, as there are no lateral entry admissions under COMEDK.

Selection Process: The selection process includes the following steps:

  • Entrance Examinations
  • Assessment Tests
  • Personal Interview
  • Final Selection

The administrative executives will do the final selection of candidates. After the final selection, students will have a counselling session with the admission office.
