Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) is an institute of reputed located in Bangalore and was founded by the Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust in 1986. Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust was established in 1985 by a group of philanthropists from the Raju Kshatriya community with the intention of inculcating students a spirit of enquiry & a desire to gain knowledge.
Visvesvaraya college of engineering was built with the vision of establishing it as a center of excellence in technical & management education while also focusing on integrated personality development of students by providing them with quality education & also involving them in sports, cultural & co- curricular activities.
Visvesvaraya institute of technology is located on a vast expanse of 53.8 hectares and the college provides an academic ambience amidst lush greenery & houses over 3380 students & 184 teaching faculty. The college has a bank outlet, canteen facilities, healthcare, hostels to accommodate around 640 boys & about 300 girl students, a well equipped library spread over 1700 sq meters , a sports arena with facilities including indoor, outdoor sports & a gymnasium.
