Atreya Ayurvedic College Courses

The duration of Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College Course, i.e. BAMS is 5 and half years, followed by one year compulsory rotating Internship. The course has been divided into four phases plus internship.

  • 1st year- Twelve (12) months
  • 2nd Year - Twelve (12) months
  • 3rd year- Twelve (12) months
  • 4th year - Eighteen (18) months
  • Compulsory Internship- Twelve (12) months.

The medium of instruction is English and students should have an attendance record of 75% of the total classes conducted in theory and practical separately in each academic year.

After the completion of the course and earning a degree certificate students will be eligible for Ayurvedic medical practice.

What is the future scope of study after BAMS?

  • After BAMS students study either MD or MS in Ayurveda
  • They can also go for diploma.
  • Also students can pursue higher studies in many medical-related disciplines like:
    • Master’s in Public Health
    • Master’s in Health Administration
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medicine and many other postgraduate courses.

For Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College Admission, both academic qualification and entrance exam score is required.

BAMS degree programme is separated in three sections of 1.5 years each. These sections are called as the three professional courses where,

  • In the first professional course the students are taught about the anatomy, physiology and history of Ayurvedic system.
  • In second they are taught about the toxicology and pharmacology and
  • The final course includes the surgery, ENT, skin, obstetrics and gynaecology

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery).
The duration for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is 5.5 years
Candidates should pass 10+2 or any the equivalent examination from any recognized boards with minimum 50% in PCB and shouldnot be less than 17 years of age.
