There are a couple of splendid educators, and a couple of alright ones, yet the larger part baffled me close to tears.
The most serious issue was educators are repetition students in BMSCE - there was an instructor who was lauded to high sky by numerous and even I thought she was alright. Till she asked in class 'for what reason ought JavaScript be written in a different document instead of together with the HTML' and addressed 'on the grounds that else it will be unmistakable to end clients'. To be reasonable for her, the book said something comparable. However, she wasn't sufficiently astute to recall that all customer side-innovation is well customer side. Which implies the source code for a deciphered language must be given to the program. It is extremely unlikely around it. What's more, if my program has it, I can get it as well.
And afterward there are some simply lamentable instructors - I've had an educator reveal to me my word processor (gedit - plain ASCII setting for chrissake!) was the explanation a program's usefulness is erroneous. Utilizing vi will settle it (spoiler - it didn't). And afterward there was the educator who went to Google and scanned for Google and afterward googled. Goodness, I could top off a truly large book with awfulness stories. Be that as it may, you get the point I trust.
From what I hear most equivalent universities are very little better however. Eventually, the educators were thoughtful and not pointlessly exacting. They grade permissively, except if you irritate them; however regardless of whether you do, they grade you reasonably - I can actually bear witness to that. They leave you to your own gadgets in labs and let you tinker around. What's more, in the event that you truly need to accomplish something, you can generally discover at any rate one instructor who'll support and help you. They are likewise modest - you can explore under IIScprofs, and your profs won't be irritated.
The course readings are brilliant and the library is a fortune trove. So you can overlook the majority of the staff and learn all alone on the off chance that you so pick.
Decision: I wouldn't pick BMSCE for the workforce, yet I wouldn't dismiss BMSCE for the staff either.
Non-existent to the extent I could see. In my whole time there, I haven't seen one teacher distribute an exploration paper or even inquire about understudies in class. Maybe the experience is diverse at Master's level - I don't have the foggiest idea. In any case, I've true questions about the exploration morals of BMSCE educators. An admonition against written falsification in conclusive semester ventures was counterfeited from another college's site. An instructor's lord's theory dynamic was copied from an IEEE paper, which had no commitment from that educator. Indeed on the off chance that you mean to go in to examine avoiding BMSCE might be a smart thought.
Decision: BMSCE wouldn't be the perfect spot to seek after an enthusiasm to investigate. In any case, IISc isn't excessively far away, and you can generally discover educators ready to support you. BMSCE won't especially help you, yet the timetable is adaptable as are the educators.
Non-existent. Sure there are a couple of people who have taken part in fair serious programming rivalries. However, 2 individuals don't make a culture. I've never observed many (as in more than 5) individuals taking an interest in coding rivalries, hackathons or in any event, programming for joy.
Decision: There is none. It's dependent upon you to discover similarly invested individuals and make the way of life.
So ultimately, if it’s a choice between an older IIT/NIT and BMS, don’t join BMS. Otherwise, you’re welcome to an awesome time!
BMSCE was ranked 69 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) engineering ranking in 2019 and 40 by Outlook India's "India's Top 150 Engineering Colleges in 2019". It was ranked 24th among engineering colleges by India Today in 2020.
There is a reason as to why RVCE is the top college amongst VTU colleges in Karnataka the curriculum in BMSCE is not very industry oriented and it is made pretty easy.
When it comes to extra-curricular activities like dance, sports and managing events BMCE is the place to be. When it comes to managing and responsibility, people get to learn a lot because they are the person who will be given the responsibility to run entire shows and the college will not interfere.
Of course BMSCE due to its reputation definitely gets world class companies during placement. Frankly speaking, sometimes those same companies come to RVCE Pesit and BMSCE but the profiles offered in RV and Pesit are way better compared to BMSCE.
Eg: Rvce and pesit get a development profile and bmsce gets a testing profile
Reason: the main reason for this distinction is RV have one credit every semester for extracurricular where students do some technical project related to the subject which has enhanced their technical knowledge and this has reflected in der placements (sources: told by my friend in Rvce) and this is lacking in BMSCE.
But if one is looking for a proper job then RVCE is the place to be. Again up to the individual to decide between RVCE and BMSCE.
Good Luck!
