BMS Law College was established in the year 1963 by Sri. B S Narayan, Donor Trustee, BMSET, under the aegis of the BMS Educational Trust. The Trust is named after Dharmaprakasha Rajakaryaprasaktha Sri. B. M. Srinivasaiah, whose vision brought about the foundation of the first private Engineering College in the State of Karnataka. The college is situated at Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. Students are benefitted from the comfortable college life it provides.
The college was initially affiliated to Mysore University, later to Bangalore University and now to Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) and is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

The BMS College of Law Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. The hostel provides fully furnished facilities forsingle and twin sharing rooms. The facilities includes water heaters,Washing Machines, TV Lounge, Volleyball court, Indoor games, Multi Gym, Reading room, Lift, and 24/7 Wi-Fi facility. Every room is fully furnished with a wardrobe, cot, study table, chair, and an overhead book cabinet. Keeping safety and security in mind, CCTVs are installed and monitored along the premises.
