BMSIT Admission

BMS Institute of Technology Admission is taken care by the separate Admission Department which exists in the college campus. This is the department responsible for end to end process of the admission. It works closely with the applicants and helps them ease the process of the admission. All the applicants are treated equally by the department and special provisions are made for any students. However the final admission confirmation are subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria which students are bound to fulfill and failing which would result in rejection of the candidates application for admission.

The institute provides for both UG and PG courses along with other research programs and there are separate eligibility criteria for the respective courses.

BMSIT Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for B.Tech:

All the criteria given below are mandatory for BMS Institute of Technology Admission.

• 1. The applying candidates shall have passed the 2nd year of their Pre University/12th standard (or) equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the these subjects - Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics


• 2. The applying Candidates must have secured at least 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.


• 3. The candidates satisfying both the above criterion can apply through:-
• KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) KCET, Diploma CET (KEA) for Karnataka students |
• AICTE for J&K
• COMEDK (Consortium Of Medical Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka) for Non- Karnataka candidates

Eligibility criteria for M.Tech:

The applying Candidates should have passed bachelor's degree and the aggregate should not be less than 50% in B.E/B.Tech and then should appear in PGCET (Post Graduation Common Entrance Test, Karnataka) for admission in M.Tech/the Post Graduate Program.

Eligibility criteria for MCA:

BMS Institute of Technology Admission also provides opportunity for students who wish to pursue MCA. The eligibility criteria for this are different from that of other PG courses, which are as follows:

• Candidates who must have passed Bachelor Degree examination and should have secured not less than 50% of the marks in all the years of the degree examination can apply admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA). In case of candidates applying belongs to Scheduled castes/ Scheduled Tribes then the marks should not be less than 45%.
• The candidates who have secured not less than 50% of marks with following subjects as optional or elective: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer science, Computer Programming, Computer Applications, Business. However in case candidates belonging to Scheduled castes/ Scheduled Tribes the marks should not be less than 45%.
• The students who has studied and passed one of the above specified subject in the pre-University course and have secured 50% of the marks in that subject shall also considered eligible for the admission. However in case of students of Scheduled castes/ Scheduled Tribes category the marks should not be less than 45% for admission.

There shall be an entrance examination for MCA Course as well. All the Candidates seeking admission in the engineering colleges of Bangalore which are affiliated to VTU shall have to take this examination for the admission. The examination would be conducted by the concerned admission committee after which interviews would also be scheduled for the candidates qualifying the entrance examination.

For Govt. Seats in colleges and for VTU course, examination would be conducted by PGCET (Post Graduation Common Entrance Test, Karnataka)

BMS Institute of Technology Fees is set according to industries standard and are kept in accordance with the students’ convenience. Fee Structure might vary based on the courses selected by the students.
