The origin of BMSIT or BMS Institute of Technology dates back to the 1946. Based in the heart of the city in Bangalore, their aim is to cater the rising needs of technical education. BMSIT Eligibility criteria

In order to take admission in this college, the student should match the below mentioned admission criteria,
• 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and any one of these- Computer Science, Bio Technology, Biology and Chemistry
• 10+2/ PUC or equivalent
• In fact the student should be a bonafide NRI
BMSIT Yelahanka accepts candidates with the help of an entrance exam resting on their rank. Besides, theyhave a management quota as well, especially for candidates that are not capable of clearing the CET (Common Entrance Test) and the COMEDK. They have a different fee structure for candidates admitted through management quota and entrance test.
Placements
The placement department in BMSIT makes sure that every eligible candidate be given the same chance of getting campus placement. Their aim is in organizing campus interviews and offering the necessary information related to industry placement and higher studies. The placement department also helps to organize workshops, seminars and other forms of events to improve the technical know-how of the students and also their communication skills. Over the years, students from here got placement in top companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, HCL, Yahoo and Amazon.
