CEED Pattern

CEED entrance exam pattern is set by the IIT, Bombay. Exam pattern helps students to understand the structure of the question paper readily. The mode of examination is online. It is both a computer-based and pen-paper-based exam. The question paper is split into two parts where in part A contains objective type questions and part B contains subjective type questions. There in negative marking for wrong answer in Section A but no negative marking in Section B. The time limit for the exam is total 3hrs which is divided into 1 hrs for part A and 2 hrs for part B. The language used for carrying out the test is English.

Exam highlights:

  • The exam will be conducted in online.
  • The maximum duration is 3 hours to complete both parts a and part b.
  • The exam is conducted in two parts (Part A and Part B).
  • Section A contains 44 questions and Section B will have 5 questions.
  • In total, there will be total questions holding 250 marks.
  • For incorrect answers, there will be a negative marking in Part- A and and no negative marking in Part- B.
  • The difficulty level is moderate.
  • Candidates can attempt CEED any number of times.

When registering online, candidates are required to select THREE cities in the order of preference. A request to amend the city will NOT be taken into consideration after the registration form has been submitted.

The candidates can attempt the CEED exam as many times as they want as the exam has no limitations.
The negative marking for Part A is - 1 for MSQ section and -0.5 for MCQ section whereas for Part B there is no negative marks for wrong answer.
