CUK stands for the Central University of Kerala. NH-17, Periya, Kasaragod, Kerala is where the institute is located. A plan has been put in place to bring together the departments of Social Work, NSS, Public Health, and Medicine to conduct a village survey, arrange health and education awareness initiatives, and organize community development programs. This aids kids in comprehending their total assimilation into society.
The Central University of Kerala is committed to providing instructional and research facilities in all appropriate and relevant disciplines of learning, in accordance with the Act's objectives. In our academic programs, special arrangements will be made for integrated courses in Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, and Technology. In academic courses and research, interdisciplinarity will be emphasized. In order to avoid rigidity and exclusion in expanding the boundaries of learning and research resources, innovations in modern teaching-learning processes will be introduced. We will educate and train workers for the country's development, and we will form partnerships with enterprises to promote science and technology.
Under the Central Universities Act of 2009, the Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, was established in 2009. (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). As stated in the vision statement, the University is established on the noble vision of a 'Caring Wisdom,' and is governed by the lofty goals of academic and social dedication, moral steadfastness, and intellectual and spiritual enlightenment. The University began operations in rented premises in Nayanmarmoola (Vidyanagar) in Kasaragod town in October 2009 with 17 students enrolled in two PG programs.
The University has expanded from its humble beginnings to offer twenty-seven postgraduate and twenty-two research programs to a total enrolment of roughly 2,500 students.
