The Central University of Tamil Nadu [CUTN] was established in 2009. The Government of India established the foundation for the CUTN, creating a new path for higher education access. The university, along with eight other Central Universities, was founded by an Act of Parliament to empower students, particularly those from marginalized communities.
Thiruvarur's CUTN is a center of academic achievement and innovation. The university is extremely proud of its 13 Schools and 28 dynamic Departments, which provide a diverse and interesting study environment.
