The Central University of Tamil Nadu [CUTN] was established in 2009. The Government of India established the foundation for the Central University of Tamil Nadu, creating a new path for higher education access. The university, along with eight other Central Universities, was founded by an Act of Parliament to empower students, particularly those from marginalized communities.
