CMI Exam 2024 Exam Pattern
The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) will give the exam pattern for the entrance exam 2024 in the information brochure, which will be made accessible following the release of the online application form. The CMI question paper will contain two parts A and B
Part A
- In part A there will be 10 questions asked and each question will be allotted 4 marks. The total marks allotted for part A will be 40 marks. There will be a group of four statements under each question. The candidates will have to select any one option from the given three options for each statement. The options are True / False / No Attempt. There is no assurance that at least one of the four statements in a given question is true, in specific.
- You will have to enter the answers in the computer for Part A, you will be graded only based on the answers entered in the computer. If you fail to choose an option for the statement it will be considered as no attempt.
- Part B will be evaluated only if the candidates meet any one of the below-mentioned conditions
- You should have to score at least 24 marks in part A.
- In Part A, if you are one of the top 400 students, and hence Part B will be graded for a minimum of 400 students, .If enough students achieve a score of at least 24 in Part A.
Part B
- In part B there will be 6 problems asked and which will be evaluated for a total of 80 marks. You will have to spend at least 2 hours on part B.
- The reasoning that you give for a question should be explained clearly. Credits will be given only to those who give correct reasoning.
- You will have to solve part B problems on the correct pages in the answer booklet. You can use the extra blank pages at the end of the exam booklet to do rough work or if you need more room for a particular subject. Any answer that fills more than the allocated space on the final pages should be clearly labelled. Similarly to this, when solving issues with numerous sections, be sure to clearly label your solution for each part individually.
