COMEDK Exam 2025
COMEDK UGET 2025 is a national common entrance test for admission to approximately 190 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is the organization responsible for conducting the UGET exam. It is an autonomous body entrusted with the responsibility of conducting UGET. The undergraduate entrance test (UGET) is a computer-based exam used to determine admission to BE/BTech programs. This exam is available to all eligible students in the country. COMEDK UGET scores are used to allocate seats in colleges through an online counselling process.
COMEDK UGET 2025: Recent Updates
COMEDK UGET is an entrance exam for undergraduate engineering courses at private engineering colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK UGET 2025 has been updated by the government. The changes made are as follows:
- * On June 22, 2022, the Karnataka government announced that the COMEDK entrance test will be merged with the CET (Common Entrance Test) and conducted all at once at the All India level beginning the following year.
COMEDK Eligibility
Engineering Course
- Candidates need to qualify the 10+2 or equivalent examination recognised by the Central or State Government and should include physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects in the last 2 years of study for admission in B.E./B.Tech.
- For general category candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 45% and for backward classes, it is 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science ,or Electronics as one of the optional subjects.
- Applicants who have attempted the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses are considered eligible for inclusion in the rank list.
Architecture Course
- Qualifying exams prescribed for admission to B.Arch course are 10+2
- Candidates need to secure 50% marks in PUC in physics, chemistry, and mathematics; for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka, they need to score 45%.
- General category candidates need to qualify 1+3 Diploma with mathematics as compulsory subject with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% for backward classes.
- Interested candidates first need to qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture or JEE Paper. For NATA applicants, it is required to get at least the cut-off marks in two individual components and also achieve at least the qualifying marks in aggregate.
- The consortium does not conduct an entrance test for the B.Arch course.

COMEDK Exam Centre
The candidates can choose three COMEDK exam centres in the online application form. If, for any reason, an exam centre has to be cancelled, candidates who had opted for the cancelled test city, will be allotted a centre in another city by the consortium.They can choose the cities on first-come, first-served basis. However, the consortium reserves the right to allot any other test city other than the one chosen by the candidate. The option to choose will be available before submitting the application form online, subject to availability. Any Changes to this policy will be updated on the official website. Admission ticket and other Helpful Information
- Online ticket will be available on the official website under the candidate login.
- Candidates who will be appearing for the exam must print out Online Test Admission Ticket (Online TAT). This TAT will not be send to the respective candidates through email/ post/courier.
- Without the COMEDK hall ticket, candidates will not be allowed to write the exam, along with other indicated documents. Also, they need to keep the TAT for counselling and until the completion of the admission process.
- And the have to ensure that the invigilators signs it
After taking the printout of TAT, applicants need to check for the mentioned details:
- TAT number
- Applicants’ name as mentioned in the form
- Address and contact details as mentioned in the form
- Candidates’ photo as given the application form
- Test centre details
- Test timings
- ID proof details
- Passport size photographs
- General instruction of TAT
- They must not laminate TAT or make any changes
- As it is an important document it needs to be produced at the time of counselling
Exam Information
COMEDK Exam Pattern
It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and is required for candidates seeking admission to B.E. For the exam
- Medium of instruction should be in English
- Each correct answer will be rewarded 1 mark
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers
- However, if there is a tie in the test score the number of wrong answer will be considered. Also other methods can also be employed to break ties
- The total mark is 180.
COMEDK Mock Test
To make the candidates acquainted with the CBT, COMEDK mock test are available in the website.
How to start the Mock Test:
- Go to website click on ‘mock test’ button to attend
- Next press on the “Sign in” button, appearing on the “Login” Window.
- Read carefully the “General Instructions”
- For the next after finishing reading, click “NEXT”.
- Read carefully “Other important Instruction” and the below-mentioned declaration
- At last press on the checkbox and click on “I am ready to begin” button to start the test.

For Computer-Based Test (CBT)
For CBT candidate is required to sit in front of the computer terminal given to them in the exam centre. Right after logging in, they will receive detailed instructions for the test. If the candidates face any issues like mouse malfunction they will be given another buffer system as there are enough buffer systems available to tackle such problems. And for any of the malfunction, if time is lost, it will be taken care of as every second will be recorded in the server.

COMEDK Instruction for the Candidates
- Candidates need to report 1 hour before the commencement of the test (12 Noon).
- The examination hall will be opened half an hour before the start of the exam.
- On demand, they need to show their TAT and Unique photo Id in original, and if failing to produce any of the objects they will be rejected for the examination hall
- They are advised not to bring any computational device into the hall
- If any applicants could not appear on the allotted date, there will be no second date.
- Candidates should read the COMEDK question paper before writing
- It is mandatory to bring their recent passport-sized photograph, with their name and TAT number mentioned on the back of the photograph.
- Candidates must sign on the TAT in the presence of the invigilator immediately after its verification.
- Biometric recording will be conducted before and during the test session.
- They cannot leave the class for any reason.
