Admission Criteria for B.E/B.Tech

Interested applicant must crack the entrance exams with top marks. Applicants can also apply in the lateral entry which is a second-year entry in the programme for three years.

  • Applicants need to appear on either CET (KCET), COMMEDK or JEE. The former is conducted by the Karnataka government and the latter is the Joint Entrance Exam for admission to various engineering colleges and courses across the country.
  • Students with meritorious ranking are taken into consideration during the admission process.
  • Applicants should pass 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry Mathematics and biology/ computer science/ electronics.

Admission Criteria for MTech

The university provides a wide range of specializations in its 2-year MTech programme.

  • Applicants need to acquire a minimum of 50% aggregate in the relevant field of VTU/ any other university/ any other equivalent examination
  • Candidates need to pass either in PGCET/ GATE with valid score
  • They should pass B.E/B.Tech or equivalent examination
  • They need to appear in a written test conducted by the university

Admission Criteria for M.Sc./PHD

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Admission offers M.Sc. / PhD degrees in various fields of research.

  • Applicants are selected through synopsis for PHD, ULRAT Test
  • They need to attend an interview conducted by VTU for affiliated research centres.
  • Candidate need to pass MTech from VTU or any other equivalent degree recognised by VTU.
  • They should be B.E graduate with research or work experience with patent
  • Eligible applicant will be called for a written test and passed out candidates need to attend an interview.
  • Admission will depend on the performance on the interview.
