The Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, established in 2008 by Act 07 of the Delhi State Legislature and operational since 2015, is India's pioneering pharmacy school and the third globally. Authorized by UGC Sections 2(f) and 22, DPSRU is fully state-funded. It evolved from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), founded in 1964, and has grown to encompass over 4 certificates, 3 diplomas, 7 undergraduate, 24 postgraduate, and 8 Ph.D. programs, serving approximately 2,600 students.
