The Government of Rajasthan established Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University (DSRRAU) through the Rajasthan Ayurved University Act, 2002. Signed by the Governor on September 25, 2002, the act aimed to establish a university dedicated to structured training, research, and development in Ayurvedic, Unani, Naturopathic, Homeopathic, Siddha, and Yoga systems of medicine. The university's first Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ram Harsh Singh, a renowned scholar and former Dean of the Faculty of Ayurved at BHU, set the foundation for its academic excellence.
