Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur is Rajasthan's first Ayurvedic university, established under the RAU Act of 2002 (Act No. 15 of 2002) and officially recognized on May 24, 2003, as per Gazette Notification No. F25 (6) Ay./2000. The university offers a wide range of programs, including Ph.D., PG, UG, Diploma, and Certificate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga, and Naturopathy. Admissions to these programs are conducted through a national/state-level joint entrance test, with the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University cutoff being a key factor in the selection process.

The university's main campus, sprawling over 322 acres along the Jodhpur-Nagaur Highway, is home to three of its constituent colleges: the University Postgraduate Institute of Ayurveda Studies & Research, the University College of Homeopathy, and the University College of Naturopathy & Yogic Science. Additionally, the university has two other constituent colleges: the University College of Unani in Charai, Tonk Campus, and the University College of Homeopathy in Kekri, Ajmer Campus.

  • This university is recognized under section 2/F from UGC by letter no. F9-30/2003 (CPI-I) dated 15/03/2004 & CCIM, CCH, etc. BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BNYS, B.Sc (Ayurved Nursing), MD (Ayu.), MD (Homoeo), Ph.D. (Ayurveda), and some Diploma and Certificate courses are being conducted through its affiliated colleges.
  • On March 10, 2003 (Phalguna Shukla Saptami, Vikrami Samvat 2059), in the honorable company of the then-honorable State Minister of Ayurved, Sri Radhey Shyam Ganganagar, the University's cornerstone was officially placed. At the time, Shri Ashok Gehlot was the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
