Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management Was established in 2011 and it is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for technical educational (AICTE).

The College has a separate pool of experienced faculty members who take care of the Admission process by seeing their entrance exam result which Is conducted by the Government ie., CET(Common Entrance Test) and COMED-K. It starts every year in March and ends on July 31 of the same year. Via CET, the lateral entry (Diploma Quota) for the 3rd semester and begins in July/ August.
Admission Eligibility Criterion at DSATM
- Engineering: Passed in 2nd PUC / 12 standard/ Equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry / Bio-Technology /Biology / Electronics / Computer Science. For Karnataka SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate percentage required is 40%.
- Architecture (B.Arch): Passed in 2nd PUC/12 standard/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject of study or Three-Year Diploma in any stream recognized by the Government of Karnataka, or any other State government, or Central government, or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent thereto by this University. Any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto. NATA score is compulsory (including SC/ST & All Categories).
- MBA: Bachelor's Degree examination or equivalent examination from a recognized University of a minimum of 3 years duration examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects, including languages, in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA programme. 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka candidates. Reservation and concession in aggregate percentage is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates.
- MCA: BCA / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree OR Passed B.Sc. B.Com/B.A. with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned University) and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MCA courses. 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST, and Category-I of Karnataka candidates. Reservation and concession in aggregate percentage is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates.
