The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Himachal Pradesh also known as ICFAI, was formed under the provision of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2011 (Act No. 43 of 2011) passed by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on June 17, 2011. The ICFAI Society, a non-profit educational society founded in 1984, sponsors the University.
The University's mission is to provide world-class, innovative, career-oriented professional postgraduate and undergraduate programs through technology-assisted pedagogies that equip students with the necessary professional and life skills, as well as social awareness and a strong sense of ethics. The University will seek to create an intellectually exciting environment for research, particularly in fields related to the state's and nation's socioeconomic and cultural growth.
The university campus is located in the Baddi Educational Hub. It has a built-up area of 2 lakh square feet, with academic blocks and classrooms equipped with cutting-edge audio-visual technology. A well-equipped library, laboratory, and computer center are also available. The entire campus has Wi-Fi access.
The UGC (University Grant Commission) has recognized the institute. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It offers BA, B.Sc, BA, BA LLB, MBA, M.Sc, and M.Com courses.
