Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) was founded as “Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry” by the French Government in the year 1823. Later in 1956, it was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College. The college is committed to giving a gateway with medical education for the global scope, analyzing more and discovering every day. JIPMER Admission

MBBS Eligibility Criteria :

  • The candidate must have passed the 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology from a recognized board with an aggregate of 50% of marks.
  • The reserved categories have 5% relaxation in the eligibility marks.
  • One must have got a valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG).
  • The students’ age should not be less than 17 and more than 25.

Postgraduate Programs (MD/ MS) Eligibility.

M.B.B.S. Degree from any Indian university recognized by the Medical Council of India & and obtained permanent registration from any of the State Medical Councils.

7 Post Basic Diploma in Nursing

JIPMER Fees Structure

The academic fee of US $75,000/- + Transaction charges as applicable will have to be paid by the Foreign Nationals. This will be a one-time payment, for the entire duration of the course, at the time of admission. Admission letters will be issued only on confirmation of payment from the competent authority.

Hostel:

Persons selected for an academic course in JIPMER (UG, PG or doctoral courses, and Senior Residents) are eligible to apply for hostel accommodation. The hostel has separate buildings for boys and girls and has wardens, Deputy wardens. There are different types of accommodation available like Single Occupancy, Double Occupancy and Triple Occupancy. In any emergency or to allow better utilization of limited available accommodation, the Wardens/ Deputy Wardens may change the types of accommodation, with permission of the Dean (Academic). The admission to the hostels can be guaranteed only to the undergraduates and interns and accommodation will be offered to Postgraduate programs or doctoral programme students only if available.
