KCET Counselling 2021

The KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) is going to conduct the counseling for KCET 2021 in online mode. The candidates are required to register first in order to participate in the counseling of KCET 2021. While registering, the candidates will have to fill in the choice of college and the concerned course for admission. The KCET authority will conduct 2 rounds of KCET 2021 counseling along with a second extended round and one special round of counseling.The commencement for counseling and verification of documents is yet to be notified.

For the admissions to different colleges in Bangalore through KCET, counseling is must to procure a seat of choice depending upon rank and qualifications. The qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for the counseling and is a mandatory process to get admissions in the colleges of Karnataka. The process starts with the verification of documents and KCET 2021 registration.

Documents required for verification at the counseling centers are

  • KCET Admit Card Printout
  • KCET Application form Printout
  • Application Fee Payment Slip
  • Mark sheet of Class 10 & 12/ 2nd PUC
  • Migration Certificate
  • Two Passport Sized Photographs
  • Certificates attested by BEO/ DDPI
  • Government Identity card

Further, the students are required to visit the website and enter required credentials to update the institution and course preference. Before entering your choice, look for the seat matrix provided course-wise and institution-wise. After filling up your choices, you can lock the list of preferences.

After the filling and locking of preferred courses in preferred institution, a mock seat allotment list is released on the official website of KEA. This mock list allows the students to understand the courses they can get in certain institutions based on their rank in KCET Counseling. The students are also allowed to make changes in their choice if needed and later 3 sessions of counseling are held and if the candidates are satisfied, they can take the provisional allotment letter to the concerned institution to confirm their seat by paying the required admission fees.

For KCET 2021, almost 230 private colleges, government colleges, universities and state government colleges are going to participate for the intake of students under various undergrad courses offered by them. The candidates are also advised to check the list of participating colleges/ universities, so they can filter out the most suitable one for them depending upon location, expanses,KCET Ranking or any other factors important to them.

It is compulsory for all candidates to be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2012.
Candidate is given 1 mark for every correct answer and there is no deduction of marks for the wrong answer that is there is no negative marking. Hence, candidates are suggested to attempt each and every question asked in the exam.

No. The candidate has to study from 1st to 10th standard continuously to get the benefit of reservation under the Kannada medium.
Fee payment is possible through both online as well as offline mode. For online mode, candidates are eligible to pay their fees via net banking. For offline payments, candidates can either pay the fee via e-challan at e-post offices or State Bank of India, Indian Bank and State Bank of Hyderabad.
The Principal/ Head master of the institution will issue Kannada medium certificate. This certificate in-turn has to be counter signed by BEO of the area/ jurisdiction. Uncertified certificates will not be accepted.
The merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained in CET‐Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Yes. You have to score 50% of marks in PCB subjects both in qualifying examination and in CET. (PCB in CET. (It is 40% in case of SC, ST, & OBC candidates)
The syllabus is entirely based on the 1st and 2nd PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre‐University Education of Karnataka State.
No. Counter signing is not a necessity.
