For class 11/12 students or pass out: 5-year LLB program is better and should be preferred.
For undergraduate students of BA/BSc/BCom/ BTech /BPharma/ BDS/ MBBS programs, etc: 3-year LLB program is better and only option.
Actually, both 5-year and 3-year LLB programs are equally good in terms of all practical purposes. It all depends on the fact that how good the law school or faculty is and how an individual student makes the best use of it. CALL NOW on 097432 77777 and learn more.

NLSIU is considered to be one of India's most prestigious law universities offering students undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses on legal education. Students can apply for UG & PG courses such as B.A., LL.B., LLM, and MA. NLSIU also offers advanced research-level courses like Ph.D., M.Phil. and LL.D.

  • • Admissions for UG and PG courses have been already announced by the university.
  • • Students have to give the CLAT exam (Common Law Admission Test) in order to apply for the desired course.
  • • Selection will be completely based on the marks obtained in the CLAT exam.

Apart from CLAT, NLSIU also conducts a separate entrance test, namely, Policy Aptitude Test (PAT) for MA in Public Policy & Research Entrance Test for M.Phil & Ph.D. program.
A few things to consider:

1. If you are among the top-ranked 10 students in, say, the 15th ranked law college, you are doing better than the bottom-ranked 20 students in the, say, the 1st-3rd ranked colleges.
By top and bottom-ranked students, I don't just mean with respect to the class ranks, but am talking about overall achievements.
So please don't stress over rankings too much. What you do in 5 years of law school will matter much more than what you did in 2 years of preparing for the law entrance exams.

2. Most of the newer NLUs have fared pretty badly. The argument 'give them time' has been going on for too long for comfort.
We'd advise people against joining these lower-ranked NLUs which are located in far-flung areas and instead join a good law college in Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore.
Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore gives you the option to do 'running internships' and be a part of tons of activities to build your contacts.

3. While you shouldn't stress over rankings too much, the 'name' of the law school does matter. Some top law firms hire only from the top 3-5 NLUs. The alumni network stays with you for life. The peer group you get in top colleges is priceless.
Again, in the long run (2-6 years), if you are smart and hard-working, you'll overcome any handicaps that a low ranked college affords you. In order to know more please CALL NOW on 097432 77777.

  • • A single window curtain
  • • Vendors sell pillows, mattresses, and curtains on the first day right outside the campus so you can buy these things from there unless you have a need for a customized one.
  • • A basic set of cutlery plates, knife, bowl, spoon, etc) + a good lock would be handy. You can also choose to buy these things from the nearby market
  • • Table lamp and kettle are extra utilities but they are quite useful in a hostel
  • • A mosquito net is not really required even though the call letter would mention the same.
