The college has been very proactive when it comes to placing students into their preferred profiles.The placement team at MIT is well organised and headed by the Associate Director who is the:Industrial Liaison, Placement & Practice School, assistant directors and comprising student coordinators and faculty from each department. Every year the campus is visited by over 300+ recruiting teams for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) placements.
Recruitment Process
Placements: Campus recruitment invitations are sent to prospective companies by the Associate Director (Industrial Liaison, Placement and Practice School). Upon receiving of invitation prospective companies take up the opportunity to visit the campus for recruiting students. The date for conducting interviews are arranged based on convenience of both parties. All placement activities for B.tech and MCA batches usually commences from August. The internship process for M.Tech batches begins in February. Having a good recruitment process has made the Campus recruitment invitations are sent to prospective companies by the Associate Director (Industrial Liaison, Placement and Practice School).
Practice School: The practice school is accessible to the undergraduate B.Tech students and postgraduate MCA students: As part of the practice school activity, the final year students are made available for internships during their last semester which starts in the first week of January and lasts about 6 months. Corporates interested in hiring interns from the campus start coming in from August to December to conduct the recruitment process for internships.
Postgraduate, M.Tech Students:These students are available in their final year for the full-time internships (2nd year starting from June). The duration of the internship is usually between 10 to 12 months. Interested companies visit the campus from the month of February to May to conduct the recruitment process for internships.
Campus Recruitment: A huge number of companies have visited the Manipal campus. Over the years that number has seen considerable growth. Many companies have been consistent in their recruitment drives showing face every year. Students are given the option of selecting jobs in core fields or otherwise depending on choice. Recruitment Infrastructure: The campus owns a spacious auditorium or seminar hall that has been centrally air- conditioned to be used for pre-placement talks. The college also has a central computing facility with superb connectivity for carrying out online tests.
There is a conference and individual panel room with Wi-Fi for conducting personal interviews and group discussions.
