Medical Colleges Admission in Maharashtra

Medical Colleges in Maharashtra Admission Criteria:

  • For UG Course, score of the entrance exam is required
    • Candidates should have qualified 10+2 standard from any recognized board
  • For PG course, almost all colleges require entrance exam scores
    • They should have qualified Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • For Doctorate course, admission are done through merit and entrance exam score basis.
    • Some colleges accept admission through counseling process and personal interview.
    • Candidate should have a post graduate degree with a minimum of 50%.
  • For Diploma and PG Diploma course, admission is based on merit.
    • For diploma 10+2 score is considered and for PG Diploma, score of graduation is taken into account.
    • Some private institutions accept entrance exam score conducted by the institute itself.
  • For Certificate Course there is no medical entrance exam.
    • Admission will be based on merit in their 10 or 12 examination.

Admissions to private medical colleges are done on the merit-basis in qualifying and concerned entrance exams besides NEET score. Some colleges also provide direct admissions.
The govt. medical fee falls in between INR 50k to INR 2 LPA.
For qualifying NEET, Students will have to score 40-50 percentile. A private medical seat in Maharashtra can be obtained through 450 or plus marks in NEET UG.
