Medical colleges in Mumbai Admission is governed by DMER (Directorate Medical Education & Research), Mumbai. The medical colleges in Mumbai offers admission to UG and PG level medical courses. There are huge number of private and government medical colleges offering the courses. Admission to the colleges is based on merit in NEET exams conducted by the examination authority of NTA, National Testing Agency. • The general students should have 50% marks in aggregate while the students belonging to reserved category requires a minimum aggregate of 40%.
• The students must be at least 17 years old before 31st Dec of the concerned academic session.
• NRI students are eligible for institutional quota only.

Maharashtra MBBS Admission:

Admissions to MBBS in colleges of Maharashtra are made under the guidelines of MUHS, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. The seats in the Govt. and private medical colleges are allotted on the basis of rank/ score in NEE (National Eligibility Entrance Test) conducted every year by the National Testing Agency, NTA.

Medical college in Mumbai fees for the various quotas vary accordingly. Students are also offered seats under the management quota for which the academic fees are higher than those of general/ state candidate.

NEET-UG is a national level entrance exam through which students can get a seat in MBBS program across the renowned institutions like JIPMER, AIIMS etc. The candidates will have to make their choices for medical colleges during the counseling process as per their rank in NEET. The qualified students can take part in 15% AIQ (All India Quota) as well as 85% state quota.
