MHT CET

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and pharmacy diploma courses in the colleges of Maharashtra. The test is typically held in May and the application process for MHT CET 2024 is expected to begin in January 2024. The exam is conducted in offline mode for 150 minutes. The test consists of multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology. The MHT CET score is valid for one year only. The admit card of MHCET will be issued in April 2024 at https://cetcell.mahacet.org/.

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will announce the result on the official website on 19th June 2024. Based on the scores obtained by the candidates, the merit list is prepared. The merit list is used for counseling and seat allotment. The counseling process is conducted after the declaration of results where candidates have to attend in person to choose their preferred institute and course based on their merit and availability of seats.

Application Process

To apply for MHT CET 2024, candidates should follow the below steps:

  • Visit the official website of the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test at https://cetcell.mahacet.org/
  • Click on the "Application Form" link for MHT CET 2024
  • Read the instructions carefully and click on the "Proceed" button
  • Register by filling in the required details such as name, mobile number, email ID, etc.
  • After successful registration, candidates will receive a confirmation email/SMS.
  • Login with the credentials received and fill in the application form with the required personal, educational, and other details.
  • Upload scanned copies of required documents such as photographs, signatures, and certificates.
  • Pay the application fee through online mode (credit card/debit card/net banking) or offline mode (SBI Bank challan).
  • Verify and submit the application form.
  • Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

MHT CET Syllabus

The syllabus for MHT CET 2024 will be based on the HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination curriculum. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, depending on the course applied for.
