MH CET Law Syllabus

Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MU CLET) which is now replaced with MH CET Law is a state level exam conducted by University of Mumbai for admission to its UG law programs. For the 3-year law programme and the 5-year law programme, the test is divided into four and five sections, respectively. The test is open to candidates who have completed their 10+2 education or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) and are seeking to pursue a 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB courses.

Syllabus

The three-year LLB syllabus doesn’t have a Mathematics section. The syllabus for the Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MH CET Law) includes the following topics:

General Awareness

  • Geography: Indian geography, world geography, physical geography, and environmental geography.
  • Political Science: Indian politics, governance, and constitution.
  • Economics: Micro and macroeconomics, Indian economy, and world economy.
  • General Science: Basic scientific facts and principles, recent scientific developments and discoveries.
  • Sports: Latest updates and achievements in the field of sports.
  • Art & Culture: Indian art and cultural heritage, famous monuments, and cultural events.

The syllabus for the 3-year and 5-year MHCET Law syllabus is the same only the difference is that the 3-year LLB does not have a mathematics section. The syllabus includes Data Analysis and Interpretation, Reasoning and Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness with current affairs.
It is very important to study the entire syllabus as questions can be asked from any topic and candidates will also have a thorough understanding of all the topics to score well in the exam.
The important topics from Reasoning and Aptitude section are Visual reasoning Assertion and reasons, Identifying strong arguments, Puzzles, Symbol Based problems and Weak arguments.
