Navodaya medical college is a very renowned medical college located in Karnataka, also known as NMC Raichur. With the objective of imparting its efforts towards medical education, Navodaya medical college admission offers professional degree at undergrad and postgrad level. The college is duly recognized by the Medical Council of India and the intake of students under differ program is carried out under the guidelines of RGUHS, Bangalore.Students are offered with a UG degree in MBBS and a PG degree in MS & MD across multiple specializations. Theadmission is offeredon the merit basis as well as under NRI quota or foreign national category. The admission fee as well as the tuition fee varies according to the specified category.

M.B.B.S. Admission:

Students of 12th standard are offered admission under MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)degree program.The course duration is 5.5 years which includes a compulsory 1 year of internship program. Raichur medical collegeoffers admission to undergrad candidates with a total intake capacity of 150.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS:

• Candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board/council with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Bio-Technology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
• They should have completed 17 years of before or on 31st December of the admission year.
• They should have secured the required score in NEET UG examination.

The admission under General category (AIQ) will be based on the candidates' rank/ score in NEET-UG exams.A centralized counseling process is carried out under the allotment process of KEA, Karnataka Examinations Authority.

The admission under NRI quota is also based on the candidates' ranking in NEET-UG. The students prevailing from foreign nationals are also given admission under this quota only. M.S. & M.D. Admission:

The graduate students are offered admission under the PG programs i.e., MS (Master of Surgery) and MD (Doctor of Medicine). The college offers a total of 63 seats segregated across various specializations. These courses are of 3 years duration and well recognized by MCI along with the affiliation of RGUHS.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Graduation Programs (MD/ MS):

• Candidates must have completed an MBBS degree examination from any medical college recognized by the MCI with 1 year of compulsory rotating internship.
• They must have registered MBBS degree with the respective state medical council.
• They should have secured the required score in NEET-PG examination.

The General category (AIQ), foreign national and the NRI quota admissions, all are based on the NEET-PG ranking. KEA conducts a centralized counseling. The counseling is conducted in three and one extended round.Students from NRI and foreign national category will have to do the online registration and the document verification by KEA.
