New Delhi Institute of Management Admission

NDIM Admission criteria is entrance based and entrance exam for PGDM will be National level exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. CAT exam helps to shortlist the candidates easily for the postgraduate program. The selection process comprises of scores obtained in the entrance exam at a national level or at a state level, Group Discussion & Personal Interview as per AICTE guidelines. Students who clear entrance exam will be informed about the place, and date of group discussion followed by personal interview. They have an opportunity to select city of their choice for group discussion and personal interview. Major courses offered in the institution is Post Graduation Diploma in Management in various areas and MBA.NDIM Courses have been declared equivalent to MBA by Association of Indian Universities and AICTE in the year 2008.

NDIM Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • General category candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject from a recognized university and for SC/ST, similar criteria follow as of general candidates except in percentage, and it goes 45% in each subject.
  • Candidates who are waiting for their final year exam results are also eligible to apply, but they must have an average of 50% marks in graduation including final year.
  • Applicants are required to appear for MAT conducted by AIMA or Common Admission Test (CAT), IIMs or XAT, ATMA, GMAT, AICTE-CMAT or State University MBA Entrance Examinations.
  • NRIs / Foreign Citizens can seek admission based on their inter-se merit, group discussion and personal interview, as per AICTE guidelines.

NDIM Admission Selection Process

Selection of candidates is purely based on their overall performance and even their previous academic performance will be taken into consideration. Apart from this, there are certain measures need to be considered in the selection process, and they are given below:

  • Aptitude Tests (XAT, ATMA, GMAT etc.)
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview
  • Outstanding achievement in various fields or good at extracurricular activities, sports, previous work experience, additional educational qualification, etc.

A certain percentage of seats will be allotted to SC/ST/OBC and other category candidates only if the institution gets guidelines from AICTE.In case if reserved seats are not filled completely, then it will be allotted to the general category candidates.Around 2% Seats are reserved for the wards of serving /retired defense/paramilitary forces/police personnel.
