Anatomy- Gross anatomy, histology, and embryology are a few of the topics covered in this area that relate to human anatomy. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the structure and function of numerous organs, systems, and body parts.
Physiology- It is the study of typical body functions and mechanisms. The neurological system, metabolism, and endocrine, renal, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular systems are among the subjects covered.
Biochemistry- This section discusses the biochemical principles and processes that underlie how the human body functions. Topics covered include molecular biology, genetics, metabolism, enzymes, and biomolecules.
Pharmacology- It is the study of pharmaceuticals, including their effects, interactions, and therapeutic applications. Candidates must be familiar with the different drug classes, their mechanism of action, side effects, and drug interactions.
Pathology- Diseases and their impact on the human body are studied in this section. Various topics, such as general pathology, systemic pathology, immunopathology, and molecular pathology, are covered.
Microbiology- This field of study is concerned with the study of microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Candidates should be familiar with the numerous microbial diseases, as well as their diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.
Forensic Medicine and Toxicology- Toxicological analysis, autopsies, medicolegal processes, and other issues related to the medical and legal facets of forensic medicine are covered in this section.
Ophthalmology- Candidates should be familiar with common eye conditions, how to diagnose them, and available treatments.
ENT- This section discusses issues related to the ear, nose, and throat, such as common ailments, examination techniques, and management principles.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology- This field deals with issues relating to conception, delivery, gynaecological issues, and reproductive health.
Pharmacology- This focuses on understanding how medications work, including their interactions, therapeutic applications, and side effects.
Social & Preventive Medicine- also referred to as Community Medicine, has a focus on biostatistics, epidemiology, and preventive medicine.
General Medicine including Dermatology & Venereology & Psychiatry- Internal medicine, dermatology (skin conditions), venereology (STIs), and psychiatry (disorders of the mind) are all included.
General Surgery including Orthopedics, Anesthesia & Radiodiagnosis- It covers general surgery, orthopaedics (musculoskeletal problems), anaesthesia (the administration of anaesthesia during surgery), and radiodiagnosis (the analysis of medical images for diagnosis).
