This Nitte Engineering university is situated inDerlakkate, Mangalore, India. NitteUniversity, Mangalore was conferred the status of being a Deemed University in 2008. It has been formed under the NITTE University Trust, a Trust that is sponsored via the Nitte Education Trust that has established more than 31 institutions that is spread across 3 campuses at Bangalore, Mangalore and Nitte. The A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was established in 1985 had been the initial constituent college under the NITTE University. Currently it has 5 constituent colleges and the remaining 4 being the Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and K.S. Hedge Medical Academy.
