BA LLB (Hons.) Admission Notification 2021-22:

As there are lots of confusion being raised among the students regarding the admission for BA LLB (Hons.), NLSIU has uploaded a notice to clarify the queries on its official website- “The university will not accept CLAT 2021 scores for admission to academic year 2021-22”.

Our bright and vibrant cohort of graduate students are keen to engage in real-world policymaking. Embedded in the values of collaboration and participation, our students are equipped with analytical skills and critical thinking. They are trained to engage in all levels of policy from design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Our students have acquired skills in policy memo writing, preparation of policy briefs, desk and field research with advanced knowledge in research methodology, case preparation, data analysis, policy design and evaluation through training and on the job internships with select organisations. Besides, they have been exposed to managing negotiation and case presentation.

As per the official notice- “If NLSIU is unable to complete admissions before the end of 11 APRIL 2021, it will inevitably result in a Zero Year with no admission”.

NLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum aggregate of 45% in HSC/ PUC/ 10+2 from a recognized board of state or center.
  • Reserved candidates like SC/ ST are given a relaxation of 5% in their minimum aggregate.
  • No upper age limit to apply.

LLM Admission Notification 2021-22:

The admission to one-year LLM program offered by NLSIU will also be conducted through NLAT PG 2021 Entrance Exam. The LLM specializations and their intake capacity are listed below-

Business Laws 30 Minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent grade in LLB from a recognized university*
Human Rights Laws 20

*However, the reserved categories are provided with 5% relaxation in the required eligibility for LLM program. There is no upper age limit to apply.

Press Release:

Due to extremely short availability of time,it was resolved to-

  • Conduct a Home-Based online Entrance Exam to ensure that candidates do not need to travel physically to different exam centers.
  • Examine on only those subjects proposed to be tested in the CLAT 2021.
  • Cap the application fees at nominal rate: INR 150 for General & INR 125 for SC/ ST.
