Rajasthan Technical University, popularly known as RTU, Kota, was founded in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan to improve technical education in the state. The university is located on the campus of the University College of Engineering, Kota (formerly known as Engineering College, Kota). The University's mission is to provide high-quality technical education that will contribute to Rajasthan's innovation in technology and improve the country's technological advancement.
RTU, Kota currently has 68 Engineering Colleges, 39 MBA Colleges, 31 M.Tech Colleges, 16 MCA Colleges, 03 B.Arch, 01 M.Arch, and 01 Hotel Management and Catering Institute as affiliations. More than 1.5 lakh students study at the University's numerous institutes.
The RTU Kota has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi. The MHRD's National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked the university number one for MBA. Rajasthan Technical University provides 11 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate programs, as well as MBA and Ph.D. programs.
Almost all technical education disciplines are available at the University, including Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. RTU Kota offers technical education courses such as B.Tech & M.Tech as well as other professional programs such as MBA, MCA, Ph.D., BHMCT, and others.
Rajasthan Technical University Kota admission is purely based on merit. There will be two separate merit lists, one based on JEE (Mains) score (Merit-1) and the other on a 10+2 percentile basis (Merit-2). Merit List-I will be based on JEE Mains-I, followed by Merit List-II based on Class-12 marks to prepare a single Merit List. For admission to BE/B. Tech and B.Arch programs, the university also conducts the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main will be selected for the REAP process. Admission to the BHMCT program is entirely based on merit.

RTU Kota Admission 2023 to graduate Courses (B.Tech) is through REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process)/ JEE (MAINS). Admission to postgraduate (M.Tech and M.Arch) is through CAM or GATE and in Doctorate through RTU DAT. For MBA, admission is through RMAP (Rajasthan Management Admission Process).
