Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University is a central agricultural university established by the government of India through the Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University Act – 2014. The university was started in July 2014 and follows a semester system. It is the 2nd Central Agricultural University in India established and named after the freedom fighter Late Rani Lakshmi Bai. The university's goals are to educate students in a variety of agricultural and allied fields, conduct agricultural research, run extension education programs, and establish relationships with other domestic and foreign educational institutions.
The university founded several constituent institutions, including the College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture & Forestry, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, and College of Fisheries in Madhya Pradesh. These colleges are in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, respectively. The B.Sc. (Hons.) The agriculture program at the IGFRI Campus in Jhansi has begun, and the process to establish other constituent colleges of the university has been started. The university offers degree programs in agriculture and related fields at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It serves as a key link in turning agriculture and related occupations into successful businesses and providing a secure supply of food and nutrition.
