Admission in RV College of Architecture

RV College of Architecture was established in the year 1992. The college was one of the departments of RV College of Engineering before and in 1995, the department turned to an individualistic new building within the RVCE campus. The college was approved by the Council of Architecture (COA) in 2009 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya University of Technology (VTU), Belgaum. The infrastructure of the college is remarkable with the top-notch modern design and includes well-equipped classrooms, hygienic hostels for both the male & female, studios and many more blocks.

Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) Admission and Eligibility Criteria:

Admission through Common Entrance Test (CET Admissions)

RV College of Engineering takes admission through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (K-CET). In addition to that,

  • The students must have obtained a good score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum average of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and reservation students.
  • One must have passed in 10+2 level or any other equivalent exam with an aggregate of 50% of marks from a recognized board.
  • Students age should not be less than 17.
  • Students with 10+3 Diploma recognized by a university/ state/ central government and scored at least 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST and OBC applicants of Karnataka).

Admission through Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K):

RV College of Engineering takes admission through the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K). In addition to that,

  • The students must have obtained a good score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum average of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and reservation students.
  • One must have passed in 10+2 level or any other equivalent exam with an aggregate of 50% of marks from a recognized board.
  • Students with 10+3 Diploma recognized by a university/ state/ central government and scored at least 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST and OBC applicants of Karnataka).
  • Students age should not be less than 17.
  • They will require a medical fitness certificate from an authorized Medical Officer.
  • For admission in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, candidates need to pass 10+2 or equivalent
  • For Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, candidates must qualify Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or equivalent course
  • Students have to qualify in NEET PG to secure a seat in MD & MS program.

  • One must have completed 10th standard with an aggregate of 70% in science & mathematics from a recognized board.
  • 10+2 level with an aggregate of 50% of marks from a recognized university
  • The student must have qualified in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and reserved applicants.

Master of Architecture (M. Arch) Admission and Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree with an aggregate of 50% marks from a recognized university.
  • One must have appeared in the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) Conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
  • The candidate who has scored in the GATE entrance exam can also apply right for the admission.

International candidates should take the qualifying degree from the Association of Indian Universities and should qualify in the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
