A 3-Year undergraduate degree in forensic science includes the study of scientific knowledge and applications that support a criminal investigation. This course covers a wide range of topics, including how to thoroughly examine and research various crime scene objects, which are the most significant evidence. Bloodstains, soil, bones, fingerprints, data recovery from mobile devices, laptops, computers, DNA profiling, and other things can all be analysed at crime scenes.
Forensic science bachelor's degree holders have several job options, especially in the police, courts, and investigative departments of both the federal and state governments, as well as other law enforcement agencies. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and many other agencies employ a sizable portion of professional forensic scientists.
The Placement Cell of SIMS conducts various placement activities like pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions and interviews as per the requirements of the Organization.
The placement team organizes pre-placement training for the students. As students are not experienced in handling interviews, it can be daunting for them and can also lead to loss of self-esteem.
