Based on the streams students select they can choose the subject combinations within which the PU College offers.The two year pre-university course is a significant phase in a youth’s life. It is that stage which decides the fate of the student. Hence it has to be very carefully formulated, drafted and executed.

Students who opt for Science stream can select from 3 subject combinations. These selections are based on what they want to pursue as their career in the future. If the students dream is to become a Doctor, Physics, Chemistry, Math’s, Biology combination must be selected. If IT professional is the dream goal then Physics, Chemistry, Math’s, Computer Science combination needs to be selected. Apart from the core subjects students also need to choose their second language from Kannada, Hindi or Sanskrit. English will be a mandatory first language.
Similarly students who opt for commerce stream can select from 4 subject combinations. These selections are based on what they want to pursue as their carrier in the future. If the students dream is to become a Chartered Accountant Statistics, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy combination needs to be selected. Each subject combination is a base to their future degree that they are going to opt in order to achieve their dream job or career.Apart from the core subjects students also need to choose their second language from Kannada, Hindi or Sanskrit. English will be a mandatory first language.
SSMRV PU College Fee Structure is different for each of these courses. The course fee is fixed based on the infrastructure provided by the department and the scope of the course in the outside market. The institute needs to follow certain rules and guidelines while fixing the fee structure.
A district level examination will be held at the end of the academic year by the PU Board for I year PUC. For the promotion to the II year, a candidate has to Secure 30% Marks in each paper and 35% in aggregate. Students can opt to write their exam in either English or Kannada medium.At the end of 2nd year PUC public examination is conducted and students who pass the examination with the minimum marks requirement can get placed in the college and the course of their choice.
