UID - NCR CAMPUS Admission

The UID NCR admissions process involves a multi-step procedure. Candidates must first complete an application form to register for the UID Design Aptitude Test (UID-DAT). This entrance exam evaluates creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and design knowledge. Applicants who successfully clear the UID-DAT are shortlisted and invited to participate in a Situation Test, where they are assessed on their practical design skills and innovation.Admission is open to students who have completed 10+2 or a 3-year diploma in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized institution. Meeting the eligibility criteria, along with successful performance in all the stages, ensures admission to the institute.

UID Unitedworld Institute of Design Admission Process

Step 1: Application

Candidates must first apply online or offline.

Step 2: Two-Tier Evaluation Process

This step consists of two parts:

Tier I: UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

  • This is an online aptitude test
  • Weightage: This test accounts for 40% of your final score.
  • Note: All candidates who take the DAT are eligible for Tier II.

Tier II: Situation Test, Portfolio Evaluation, and Personal Interview

This tier has two different evaluation modes depending on the campus:

For NCR Campus:

  • Students have two options for their Tier II evaluation:
    • Online Mode: A Portfolio Evaluation (PE) and Personal Interview (PI)
    • Offline Mode: A Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE)
  • Weightage: The components (PE + PI or ST + PE) each account for 30% of your final score.

Step 3: Results

UID will announce the results via email.

Final Score Breakdown

The final admission score is out of 100 marks, with the following weightage:

  • Tier I (DAT): 40%
  • Tier II (ST, PE, or PI): 60% (30% for each component)

The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID), NCR Campus, are as follows:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed 10+2 in any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science) or possess a three-year diploma recognized as equivalent to 10+2 from a recognized board or institution.
  • Minimum Percentage: A minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination (Class 12) is typically required.
  • Entrance Examination: Candidates need to appear for the UID Design Aptitude Test (UID-DAT) as part of the admission process. Successful candidates will be invited for a portfolio submission and personal interview.

To be eligible for the M.Design program at Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) in NCR, you must have one of the following qualifications:

  • A 3 or 4 year undergraduate degree in any field with minimum 50% from a recognized university or institution.
  • A 5-year diploma from a recognized institution.
