MVIT admission to various courses offered by the college is mostly based on merit. However 25% of the total number of available seats is reserved under management quota. Admission to Undergraduate courses is based on the applicants’ ranking in the entrance exams conducted by the concerned state government. MVIT Bangalore Hostel provides accommodation for students – both Men and Ladies who wish to stay in the campus. There are 5 Men’s Hostels, one for freshers and four for seniors which accommodates 946 students. Normally two students are accommodated in a room. The rooms are provided with fans. Similarly, there are 3 units in the Ladies Hostel which accommodates 580 students. It is located close to the staff quarters, with independent round-the-clock security arrangement. The hostel has separate mess blocks for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Clean drinking water is provided through Aqua guard units.
