Highlights of XAT Syllabus:

  • Essay writing has been removed from the exam.
  • Candidates should note that the syllabus for the exam is the outcome for the topics which have earlier appeared in the exam. Although the type of questions, their composition, format and number may change in the following exams.
  • There will not be any repetitions of questions.
  • The entrance exam is not predefined by XLRI nor the syllabus was outlined earlier.
  • The syllabus is based on the mentioned guidelines and current structure of the exam.

XAT Exam highlights:

  • It is consists of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • All the MCQ have five options with one correct option.
  • Exam duration is of 3 hours.
  • The exam has 4 sections.
  • There is no sectional time limit.
  • Each question carries 4 marks.
  • In total, there will be 100 questions holding 400 marks.
  • For incorrect answers, 1/4 mark will be reduced.
  • For percentage calculation GK section is not counted.
  • There is no negative marking for GK.
  • 1 marks for correct answer.

XAT stands for Xavier Aptitude Test, is a national-level management entrance test.
The exam is conducted by XLRI – Xavier School of Management.
From second week of September 2021 to first week of December, 2021

Application fee is 1750 Rs. , Late fee is Rs 2050
There is no age limit.
Step by step guide to fill the application form:
  • Candidates need to visit the XLRI Jamshedpur official website.
  • Click on the' online register' link
  • Click on “Click here for New Registration”
  • They need to create a User ID and Password, filling the basic information and after that clicking on the ' Save & Next' button
  • They will have to fill academic and work experience details

  • After this they will have to upload scanned images of Photograph and Signature which should be less than 1mb.
  • Image should be in jpeg format.
  • Select programme as per preference if they want to study in XLRI.
  • Select test City preference. Candidates can choose 2 preferred test cities while filling the form.
  • Click on the "Payment" Tab and Proceed for payment.
  • After filling click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before submitting.
The duration is 3 hours and 35 minutes
Yes, with right strategy, time management it is possible to crack XAT in 2 months.
  • Candidates should have a bachelor's degree of minimum three years or equivalent.
  • Post graduate candidates will have to put their PG percentage in application instead of graduation percentage.
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply.
  • There is no minimum aggregate marks criterion for the exam.
  • There is no limit to attempting for the exam.
  • There is no age limit.
  • All backlogs have to be clear before the admission through the exam.
  • NRI and foreign candidates can apply through GMAT (except for Dubai and Kathmandu, where they have the provision for XAT).
