Admission in B.Com Colleges - India

Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) is a three-year undergraduate programme. B Com subjects teach Analytical skills, Financial Literacy, Business Acumen, Business Laws, Taxation knowledge, and so on, with the goal of preparing students for careers in banking, accounting, insurance, and finance.

B Com Admissions to top B Com Colleges in India, such as Hindu College, Loyola College, and others, are done on the basis of merit as well as various entrance exams. IPU CET, CUET, NPAT, BHU UET, and other top entrance exams are conducted for enrolling students in B Com courses.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates should have passed their higher secondary/ intermediate/ pre-University with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from any state or central recognized board to appear in the B.Com admission.

The candidates from all the three streams including science, commerce & arts are eligible for the admissions in the undergraduate program of Bachelor of Commerce. The students with commerce stream during their 12th standard are most suitable for this undergraduate program.

Note: This bachelor program can be pursued as a full-time mode or through correspondence. Several reputed colleges and universities in India are offering the regular and honors course in B.Com in the correspondence mode. Some of them are:

The candidates are selected on the merit basis for the B.Com admission. The merit of the candidates is carried out on the basis of their performance in higher secondary/ intermediate/ pre-University.

The admission process through these exams is very transparent and follows the university guidelines. The student shall be attentive about the notification date for application and registration which is tentative.

The commerce colleges have a well-equipped admission department which looks into the matter related to intake procedure of a candidate.

Candidates should have completed 10+2 from any stream from a recognized board to be eligible for BCom admission in India.
For admission to UG courses, some private universities conduct entrance exams. Some of the entrance exams for B.Com admission are LPU NEST, IPU CET, AMU Entrance Exam, Christ University Entrance Test, BHU UET, and others.
The best BCom colleges in India are SRCC and Hansraj College of Delhi University. Hindu College, Loyola College, Christ University, and St. Xavier's College, to name a few, are also popular colleges for BCom admission in India.
