ASTU Assam Admissions

Assam Science and Technology University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. The admission process typically includes meeting specific eligibility criteria, submitting an application, and qualifying in relevant entrance exams. ASTU, Guwahati, is accepting applications for admission to the M. Tech program in Energy Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs at ASTU

• Candidates must have completed 10+12 or equivalent from the recognized board.
• The minimum aggregate marks required are 50% and 45% for ST and SC candidates.

Admission Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduation Programs at ASTU

Candidate musthave completed BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Energy/Electronics/Instrumentation/Agricultural Engineering or relevant disciplines.

• The minimum aggregate marks required are 50% (45% for ST and SC candidates) or an equivalent CGPA.
• Candidates awaiting their final semester results can also apply but must submit the required documents within a specified period.

Entrance Exam

Candidates must clear specific entrance exams for ASTU course admission. JLEE-2024 and JMEE-2024 are for engineering and MCA programs. The Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2024) is required for B.Tech admissions. The admission process includes registering for the respective exams, appearing for the tests, and qualifying based on the merit list. Post-qualification, candidates participate in counseling sessions for seat allocation in their chosen programs.

• DBU-GET examines Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics proficiency for B.Tech regular.
• Online test duration: 3 hours.

Selection Process:

• Preference will be given to candidates with a valid GATE score in the relevant branches.
• The remaining seats will be filled through the university entrance examination (ASTUEE-2022).
• Reservation and Relaxation Policy as per Government Rules will be followed.
