AWU Jorhat Admissions

The Assam Women’s University admission process involves the AWUET-2024 examination. For the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program, with a minimum qualifying mark of 50%. Admission to postgraduate programs also relies on AWUET results and interviews. Seat reservations are under the Government of Assam norms. Applicants must submit certificates along with original documents. Provisional admission requires the submission of certificates by October 30, 2024. Final admission depends on fulfilling the eligibility criteria, being selected, submitting the required documents, and paying the fees.

The Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET-2024) will be held in four major cities within Assam: Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, and Guwahati.

Eligibility for Bachelor of Physiotherapy

• Subjects Covered: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from the 10+2 level syllabus.
• Qualifying Marks: 50%

Entrance Test for PG Programmes

• Merit List Preparation: Academic performance (70% weightage) and viva voce/interview (30% weightage). Candidates exempted from AWURAT-2024 will have 100% weightage from the viva voce/interview.

Reservation of Seats

Assam Women’s University admission includes reserved seats for various categories as per Government of Assam norms:

• Scheduled Caste
• Scheduled Tribes (Plains and Hills)
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) / More Other Backward Classes (MOBC)
• Persons with Disabilities

Provisional Admission

• Candidates awaiting results must submit pass certificates/mark sheets by October 30, 2024.
• If any backlog still needs to be completed after admission, the candidate will be disqualified from continuing the program.

• Fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
• Selection for admission to the program.
• Submission of all relevant documents and payment of admission fees in full.
