The Central University of Gujarat was founded by the Parliament of India Act No. 25 of 2009, known as the Central Universities Act (2009). The main objectives of the university are to spread and enhance knowledge creation and sharing. The University is dedicated to developing special provisions for integrated and multidisciplinary courses, educating and training human resources for the development of the nation, launching effective initiatives to promote innovation in teaching and learning, and paying special attention to improving the people's social and economic conditions and welfare, particularly in terms of their intellectual, academic, and cultural development.
