CMRIT Bangalore Admission

Admission procedure in CMRIT strictly follows government rules and regulations regarding engineering admission in Karnataka. The admission department imparts relative responsibilities on behalf of the of the institution. Students willing to take Admission in CMRIT need to follow steps mentioned below.

CMRIT Admission

Procedure for Undergraduate Courses:

Undergraduate Courses Students willing to take CMRIT Courses must meet the eligibility criteria determined for them. Students need to pass the concerned qualifying examinations. They can opt CMRIT on rank-basis. Applications are submitted with required details. Registration Done. Students visit CMRIT admission department and discuss queries with Admission Coordinators.

The admission office performs short-listing of the candidates and shares admission details. Personal Interviews are conducted. Dates are intimated to shortlisted candidates. Final selection decision is taken by the admission office on the overall performance of the candidates. Decisions are intimated through registered mail IDs of the students.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Courses:

Undergraduate Courses- B.E. General Eligibility Criteria For Diploma Holders For NRI & Foreign students
Information Science & Engineering
  •   Students need to pass 10+2 level examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC) in Physics and Mathematics along with any one of the following optional subjects- Chemistry/ Electronics / Biology / Bio Technology / Computer Science.
  •   One of the languages should be English.
  •   Students require to appear and clear any one of the following qualifying exams- CET/ COMED-K / JEE / AIEEE.
  •   Students with Engineering Diploma are eligible for admission in the second year of engineering corresponding branch.
  •   In this case, students must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in final diploma examination, conducted by Karnataka Government Board of Technical Examination or equivalent.
  •   Students must take The Common Entrance Test for Diploma Students (DCET). The CET Cell Government of Karnataka conducts this entrance test.
  •   NRI and foreign students require a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  •   They must have passed 10+2 examination from any board or council recognized by AIU.
  •   One of the languages should be English.
  •   Physics and Mathematics should be their compulsory subjects along with any of the following optional- Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science.

    CMRIT Admission Procedure for Postgraduate Courses:

    Postgraduate Courses Students looking forward to CMRIT postgraduate courses should meet the basic eligibility criteria set for them. They need to go through concerned qualifying examinations. Applications are submitted. Registrations are performed.

    Shortlisted applicants coordinate with the admission department and gather relevant information regarding admission. Personal Interviews happen. Applicants must attend this session. Otherwise, their applications will be discarded. The final selection decision depends on the overall performance of the candidate. Admission Office intimates information among selected candidates.

    Procedure for Postgraduate Courses:

    MCA- Master of Computer Applications
  • Students should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in relevant Bachelor's Degree (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka).
  •   Students must qualify any of the following examinations:
  •   Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or,
  •   Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT)
  • MBA- Master of Business Administration
  • Students should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the graduation (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka).
  •   Students must qualify any of the following examinations:
  •   Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or,
  •   Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) or,
  •   Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) or,
  •   Common Admission Test (CAT) or,
  •   Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
  • M. Tech- Computer Science & Engineering
  • Students need to have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science & Engineering or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) or, AMIE in appropriate branch.
  •   Students must qualify any of the following examinations:
  •   Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or,
  •   Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
  • M. Tech- VLSI Design & Embedded Systems
  • Students belong to Karnataka need to have Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka) or, AMIE in appropriate branch.
  •   Students must qualify any of the following examinations:
  •   Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or,
  •   Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
