Eligibility criteria for the undergraduate course to get Admission in CMRIT are given below:

• Applicants are required to clear any of the following entrance exams: CET/COMED K/JEE/AIEEE
• General category students must have completed 10+2 exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks and for SC/ST a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Physics & Mathematics along with the optional subjects like Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science
• English should be one of the languages in Pre-university college
• Diploma holders must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in diploma conducted by Karnataka Government Board of Technical Examination or equivalent to that. They have to appear for the DCET exam conducted by the CET cell, Government of Karnataka
• To get CMRIT Admission, NRI & Foreign students should have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics along the optional subjects like Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science and they must have passed 10+2 from any board or council recognized by AIU

Selection Process for the undergraduate course is given below:

Students have to pass the concerned qualifying exams to get admission in this institute and the allocation of the desired stream is dependent on the rank obtained by the students. The admission office intimates short-listed candidates about a personal interview scheduled on specific dates. The administrative executives based on the overall performance of the candidates do the final selection of candidates. Results are shared with students through the registered email ID’s.
