DIT University is a prominent educational institution recognized for its quality education and comprehensive academic programs. As per Section 22 & 2(f) of the UGC Act, the university is empowered to award degrees, which are duly recognized by the UGC, New Delhi. The BArch program is approved by the Council of Architecture, while the Pharmacy programs are sanctioned by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. Although the AICTE typically grants approval to technical institutions affiliated with universities, DIT University, as a self-contained institution, falls outside its jurisdiction. Nevertheless, the university is acknowledged by the Nepal Engineering Council and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the International Association of Universities.
