With regard to the counseling process for Admission in Bangalore Engineering Colleges, a single window has been introduced by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) . As a first step, you would be required to go to one of 12 helpline centers & have your documents verified. These include your SSLC/10th Marks cards. 12th / 2nd PUC Marks cards, Transfer Certificate (TC), if claiming under Rural quota ( Rural Study Certificate), if claiming Kannada medium quota, then Kannada Medium Certificate & if claiming Caste reservation benefits then Caste/ Income Certificate issued by concerned authorities. On Verification of these documents, you will receive the Verification Slip, Unique Keyword for logging into KEA websites, Instruction manual & User Handbook & an audio visual DVD. Next you can fill in the online priority form with the colleges & streams you apply for in order of your preference, the number of choices are not limited so you can fill in as many options as you want. In the admission round, you will be allotted seats according to your merit & order of preference. After the Admission rounds, all vacant reserved seats are converted to general category seats & a new list of available seats is made. If you haven’t yet been allotted a college or if you want to try your luck with a better college, then you are eligible for this round.
