What’s new in HPTU Admission?

• Admission to the first 50% of seats will be based on merit/rank/score obtained in the previous year's JEE (Main). The remaining 50% of seats will be filled based on the results of the corresponding year's Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (hence referred to as HPCET).
• If after completing the merit of JEE(Main) and HPCET, the remaining seats would be filled on the basis of the merit of the 10+2 examination carried out by a recognized board or university.

It is also required that students meet all of the eligibility requirements for each course. Each course has a specific set of HPTU eligibility criteria. Before applying for courses, students must carefully review all of the criteria.

Eligibility

• Admission to B.tech is based on either JEE or HPCET scores.
• Admission to B. Pharma is based on the score in HPCET.
• For admission to B. Arch, NATA or JEE MAIN score will be considered.
• Admission to B.Sc. HMCT / BHMCT/ BCA/BBA is based on the merit of 10+2.
• Admission to M.Tech is based on the merit of a valid GATE Score.
• For M.Pharma GPAT score is considered.
• Merit in either of the entrance test -CAT, CMAT, or MAT will be taken into consideration. If there are seat vacancies then they will be filled up based on the merit of HPCET.
• For MCA, the merit of HPCET will be considered.
• For M.Sc courses, admission is based on the merit of the bachelor’s degree.
