In 1999, the Vocational Education Foundation Trust, which has over 40 years of expertise in computer education in India, established the IEC group of Institutions' Greater Noida Campus. The Himachal Pradesh State Legislature passed "The IEC University Act" in 2012. The University's large campus is close to Chandigarh, Panchkula, Nalagarh, and Solan. The University campus spans 14.5 acres and is located in the foothills of the scenic Shivalik Mountains. The IEC experience is authentic, with lush green trees, wonderfully maintained gardens, and magnificently designed buildings with state-of-the-art amenities.

IEC University Hostel

IEC University, Solan provides off-campus hostel facilities to its students. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished and Wi-Fi connected. The hostel premises are constantly monitored by CCTV and safety surveillance cameras. The hostel rooms are kept clean and safe by a 24-hour housekeeping service. The university also provides pick & a drop facility through a fleet of 20 buses.
